    BIOGRAPHY

    Karen Brodine was a poet, typsetter and activist. Her poems, including Work Week, explored class, gender, and labor struggles. Brodine was an early Kesley Street member and went on to become a leader in socialist and union movements, including Radical Women and Freedom Socialist Party. She died of breast cancer in 1987 at the age of 40.
